2 Honjo International Scholarship Foundation
Dr. Shoichi Honjo founded the Honjo International Scholarship Foundation in 1984 with the goal of providing scholarships to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds. Scholars from around the world have since received more than $10 million in scholarships through the scholarship program.

3 NIG Postdoctoral Fellowship
Applications for the 3-year, postdoctoral fellowship program at the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) are now being accepted. Research in NIGMS’ major programs in biomedical science and health is provided to highly qualified scientists through the program. A graduate scholarship program established by the Japan International Bank was established in 1979. Participants must be full-time graduate students and nationals of IMF/WB member countries.
