Why should I apply for a Global Masters Scholarship?
Birmingham is known for its commitment to removing barriers to education so that the most academically gifted students can achieve their educational and learning goals.
Several academics working on topics related to disability studies are affiliated with Birmingham, which has a long history of supporting the development of disability studies research. Additionally, the university has a long history of supporting the inclusion of disabled people in academia. It provides support for all aspects of disability studies through the University’s Centre for Disability Studies, which was established in 1993 as part of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work. Staff and students across the university are able to attend training courses and workshops, including those who are deafblind or have disabilities. Additionally, a conference is held each year at the centre, which attracts researchers from around the world.
In recent years, the University has made significant investments in improving the accessibility of its campus. This includes building new buildings such as the School of Law and Library, providing accessible toilets and changing rooms, and making sure that information technology systems are fully accessible.
The University is committed to ensuring that there is no discrimination against any individual because of race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexuality, nationality, or class.
